A five-year-old boy drowned after falling into a raging river while playing in Quezon City.
According to Jun Veneracion’s report on “24 Oras” on Thursday, the boy was playing with his three-year-old friend in a vacant lot in Barangay Bahay Toro when he accidentally fell into the waterway.
The grandfather of the boy’s playmate said that the children were near a gap in the wall trying to reach for something when the five-year-old fell through and into the water.
The mother of the three-year-old said that he could not save his friend because he was too heavy for the child to hold on to.
