The Cebu City government will launch an incentive program — including a raffle to win house and lot and car — for vaccinated residents on October 18, its acting mayor, Michael Rama, said on Wednesday.
In a press conference, Rama said the prizes include P100,000 worth of gift certificates for hotel accommodation, P100,000 worth of scholarships, and P100,000 worth of groceries.
“Maybe, Monday next we will launch our program incentivizing vaccination,” he said in Cebuano.
In September, Rama said the city government was finalizing the rollout of the incentive program, which aims to encourage his constituents to get vaccinated, through providing free rice and raffle activities.
“Plus raffle draws every two months with major prizes eligible to those fully vaccinated since we started in April,” he said in an earlier statement.
“Though private-public partnership, we are still working out for the prizes. Some have committed. We are looking at some gadgets and appliances, and perhaps car and house and lot in the finale,” he added. —KBK, GMA News
