Authorities arrested the suspected leader of the “Ompong” drug group in a buy-bust operation in Navotas.
According to a report on “24 Oras Weekend” on Sunday, the suspect was identified as Rodolfo “Ompong” Reyes, 43, resident of Barangay Longos, Malabon City.
“Malaking puntos po sa atin ‘to kasi malaki po ‘yong sinu-supplyan nito. Buong CAMANAVA at Tondo,” Navotas Police chief Police Colonel Dexter Ollaging said.
Seized from the suspect were a gun, 10 grams of suspected shabu, and 9.5 kilos of marijuana worth P1.4 million.
Further, police said Reyes was also the suspect behind the killing of a 17-year-old Albert Garcia in Navotas in June. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/DVM, GMA News
