A 28-year-old man was arrested for raping his five minor cousins.
According to John Consulta’s 24 Oras Weekend report on Saturday, operatives of Zambales and Albay police arrested the suspect for 12 counts of rape.
Authorities said the suspect raped his cousins on different occasions in Albay.
“Doon mismo sa loob ng bahay ng suspek ginagawa ‘yung panghahalay. May pagkakataon din na kung minsan doon mismo sa loob ng bahay ng biktima ginagawa ng suspek pinagsasamantalahan niya ‘pag wala doon ‘yung magulang at kapatid,” Police Captain Richard Asis, chief of police of Sta. Cruz, Zambales, said.
(The rape incident took place inside the suspect’s house or at the victim’s residence, especially when the parents and siblings of the victim were not around.)
The suspect did not deny the accusations against him.
“Wala naman pong problema sa aking pagkakahuli tanggap ko naman ang aking kasalanan,” the suspect, whose name was withheld to protect the identity of his cousins, said.
(There is no problem with my arrest. I accept the charges.)
Asis said the suspect’s habit of watching sexually explicit materials might have influenced him to commit the crime.
