Dodong, habagat cause flooding in parts of Luzon, Visayas

Continuous rains and strong winds due to Tropical Storm Dodong and an enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) caused flooding in parts of Luzon and Visayas.

In a “24 Oras” report on Saturday, residents of Barangay Garrita in Bani, Pangasinan, experienced massive flooding due to water from the mountains. Twenty-two individuals were evacuated as authorities are currently monitoring Pangasinan’s low-lying areas.

A total of twelve barangays were also flooded in Zambales.

Rains also caused flooding in Western Visayas, Negros Occidental, and Cebu.

Meanwhile, a rockslide has been reported in Sadanga, Mountain Province. —Sherylin Untalan/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
